Family Promise of Bradley County
Family Promise of Bradley County addresses the issue of family homelessness in Bradley County. We utilize existing community resources to provide a safe stable home-like environment for qualified homeless families with children.

Celiac Disease (CD) is a lifelong inherited autoimmune condition affecting children and adults. When people with CD eat foods that contain gluten, it creates an immune-mediated toxic reaction that causes damage to the small intestine and does not allow food to be properly absorbed. Even small amounts of gluten in foods can affect those with CD and cause health problems. Damage can occur to the small bowel even when there are no symptoms present.
Gluten is the common name for the proteins in specific grains that are harmful to persons with celiac disease. These proteins are found in ALL forms of wheat(including durum, semolina, spelt, kamut, einkorn and faro) and related grains rye, barley and triticale and MUST be eliminated.

1 in 88 Children are affected with Autism.
Autism is one of a group of serious developmental problems called autism spectrum disorders that appear in early childhood — usually before age 3. Though symptoms and severity vary, all autism spectrum disorders affect a child's ability to communicate and interact with others.
The number of children diagnosed with autism appears to be rising. It's not clear whether this is due to better detection and reporting of autism or a real increase in the number of cases or both.
While there is no cure for autism, intensive, early treatment can make a big difference in the lives of many children with the disorder.

Mission
To Raise Money & Awareness for fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma by hosting multiple Coffee Socials across the United States and world during each October (Liver Cancer Awareness Month), specifically supporting the Fibrolamellar Cancer Foundation (www.fibrofoundation.org).
Company Overview

Joining the fight to find a cure for fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma by raising money & awareness via an annual Fibrolemellar Coffee Month. The first annual Coffee Month will be held during October 2013.
Description
My, (Gail's), teenage son was diagnosed with fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma in the fall of 2012, joining the approximate 200 teens and young adults every year that are diagnosed with this rare liver cancer. He fought a brave & valiant 20 month battle. There are only a few ways I can contribute to the fight to find a cure for fibrolamellar. Raising money & awareness to support the FCF and fibrolamellar research is one of them. This is my contribution.

General Information
From the NIH Genetic & Rare Diseases Information Center:
Fibrolamellar carcinoma is an uncommon malignant tumor that originates in the liver. This variant of hepatocellular carcinoma differs from conventional hepatocellular carcinoma in aetiology (cause), demographics, condition of the affected liver, and tumor markers.[1] This entity typically occurs in teens and young adults (Gail's edit) with no
underlying hepatitis or cirrhosis. In addition, the serum levels of alpha-fetoprotein are usually not elevated in patients with fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma. Surgery is currently the most effective means of treating and controlling fibrolamellar variant cancer.[2] While there is some debate about the issue, fibrolamellar variant carcinoma may have a better outlook (prognosis) than other forms of liver cancer.[1][3]
